Alpha Kappa Alpha's Signature Program #CAP -
Helping High School Students Navigate the College Admissions Process
The next cycle in our signature program #CAP for the 2020-2021 academic year is now underway. #CAP is designed to help high school students move through the college admissions process, providing guidance and support in completing the application, enrollment and financial aid process. Too many African American high school students lack the basic support needed to navigate through the process. Through #CAP we are partnering with local schools, youth groups and organizations to help bridge the gap between high school and college. This education initiative extends to all colleges and universities, both HBCUs and non-HBCUs.
Here in the greater Phoenix area, Delta Beta Omega will assist students in everything from learning how to be the best admission candidate to volunteerism, testing and more. Community Service and tours of local college campuses will also be included, when available, as part of our monthly program. We are excited to partner with other organizations and schools here in Phoenix to ensure that all students have the opportunity to attend the college of their choice.
#CAP workshops are open to all 13-18-year-olds. Parents are asked to download and complete the form below and email it to the program chair at cap@dbo-aka.org.
